SEN Learning Support Assistant

Location: Brighton, UK
Start: After the Easter holidays
Hours: Full-time / Part-time options available
Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)

Role Overview

As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide personalised support to a student with special educational needs
• Assist with learning activities, both academic and social
• Work alongside the class teacher to implement individual learning plans
• Promote inclusion, independence and confidence
• Support behaviour management and emotional wellbeing

Ideal Candidate

You will have:

• Experience working with children (ideally in a SEN setting)
• A calm, patient and positive approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Understanding of individual learning needs
• Relevant qualifications or willingness to learn

Desirable but not essential:

• Level 2/3 TA qualification
• Experience with specific needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SLD, SEMH)
