We are seeking an engaging, enthusiastic and dedicated Reception Class Teacher to join a supportive and nurturing primary school for a fixed‑term contract from April to July 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for an early years specialist or primary class teacher to lead a Reception class with full teaching responsibilities within a caring and collaborative school community. Role Overview

As Reception Class Teacher, you will:

  • Lead planning and delivery of high‑quality teaching in Reception following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and school curriculum.

  • Create an inclusive, stimulating and well‑organised learning environment that supports every child's development.

  • Assess and track pupil progress, setting appropriate targets and adapting teaching to meet individual needs.

  • Build strong relationships with children, parents and carers, ensuring positive communication and partnership.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and utilise the guidance and support of our appointed consultant to enrich teaching practice and pupil outcomes.

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • Experience in early years education or a strong interest in EYFS practice.

  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.

  • A creative, child‑centred approach to teaching and learning.

  • A commitment to safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusion for all pupils.
