This role will be working through Term Time Teachers in different nurseries within the Oxted and Westerham areas.

Working hours can be Monday - Friday

Following shifts we need:

8AM-6PM

8AM-1PM

1PM-6PM

A working day as an agency nursery worker will vary depending on your hours and the setting you are placed in, but it might include:

  • Setting up and clearing away activities as needed, helping the team prepare engaging learning environments both indoors and outdoors.

  • Following the routines and expectations of each setting, adapting quickly to different nurseries, age groups, and working styles.

  • Ensuring children are safe, supervised, and enjoying their learning, following all safeguarding and health & safety procedures in place at the nursery.

  • Supporting the permanent staff team, stepping in where needed during busy periods and maintaining a professional, helpful approach.

  • Working with a range of age groups, from babies to Pre-School children, and adjusting your interactions and activities to suit each developmental stage.

  • Engaging in play-based learning, supporting activities already planned by the nursery or helping to facilitate child-led play.

  • Maintaining a clean and organised environment, including tidying play areas, supporting snack/lunch routines, and assisting with nappy changes or toileting (if required by the setting - Not compulsory).

  • Communicating effectively with the staff team to understand daily routines, child needs, and any important information for your shift

About the Candidate.

  • To work within Oxted and surrounding areas.
  • Have or be willing to gain a fully enhanced DBS.
  • Have an understanding of Safeguarding and be willing to undertake safeguarding training - (In house)
  • Previous experience would be beneficial.
  • Sensitivity to and understanding of people
  • The ability to work with different types of people
  • Patience and the ability to remain calm during stressful situations
  • The ability to work well under pressure
  • Attention to detail
  • Outgoing and bubbly personality.
  • Must be kind caring and approachable
  • Must be able to do between 8-6 Monday to Friday
  • Have a creative nature
