Are you a dedicated and passionate individual with a love for early childhood education? Term Time Teachers, in partnership with a prominent childcare provider in a charming Tunbridge Wells village, is seeking a dynamic Nursery Manager to lead our team in providing high-quality care and stimulating experiences for children.
Role Overview: As the Nursery Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being, safety, and educational development of all children in our care. Your responsibilities encompass various aspects, including staffing and leadership, operational management, childcare and curriculum oversight, parent and carer engagement, and health and safety adherence.
Key Responsibilities:
Staffing and Leadership:
- Lead by example to foster respect for the role among nursery staff.
- Recruit and manage all childcare and support staff, defining roles and responsibilities.
- Conduct checks on new employees and maintain personnel records.
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels and ratios, addressing training and developmental needs.
Operational Management:
- Maintain accurate records for children and staff, ensuring confidentiality.
- Oversee daily management of premises, including repairs and maintenance.
- Implement the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and security within the village nursery.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety policies, emergency procedures, and IT systems usage.
Childcare and Curriculum Oversight:
- Manage the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework and child development observations.
- Facilitate the settling of new children and transitions to the next learning stage.
- Ensure high-quality childcare, supporting children's physical, intellectual, social, and emotional development.
- Record and monitor accidents, incidents, and administer medication appropriately.
Parent and Carer Engagement:
- Work in partnership with parents, encouraging involvement in nursery activities.
- Improve parent partnership and communication, ensuring strong bonds are built.
- Keep parents informed about their child's well-being, development, and any changes.
- Promote parental contributions to the nursery's learning environment.
Role Details:
- Location: Charming Tunbridge Wells village
- Salary: £30,000 per year
- Working Hours: 40 hours per week (4 x 10-hour days)
