Are you looking for a foot in the door in a career in Early Years as a Nursery assistant? We don't need you to be qualified but experience with young children is beneficial and a love of working with young children is crucial. You'll be supported by an agency that really cares about excellence in Education.
If you have a passion for working with children from 3 months to pre-school and a shift pattern that allows flexibility then this role could be for you. The working hours are between 8.00am - 6.00pm Monday to Friday. You can choose how many days a week you work, and you have the flexibility to change this on a weekly basis to suit your needs.
A working day at a nursery will vary to your hours but typical duties include:
- Providing a safe and always stimulating environment.
- Delivering an appropriate play based Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum that enables children to make individual progress.
- To help ensure the nursery meets all OFSTED requirements.
- To plan activities which ensure each child is working towards the early learning outcomes. Strive for Continuous Improvements.
- To liaise closely with parents/carers, informing them about the nursery and its curriculum, exchanging information about children's progress and encouraging parents' involvement.
- Adhering to Policies & Procedures & compliance with the Children Act, Health & Safety legislation and within the guidelines of Ofsted.
