We are looking for a resilient and dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive school in Brighton. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting young people with behavioural needs and helping them succeed both in and out of the classroom.

Location: Brighton, UK
Start: After the Easter holidays
Hours: Full-time / Part-time available
Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)

Role Overview

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with behavioural needs
  • Implement behaviour support strategies and individual plans
  • Build positive relationships to support emotional regulation and engagement
  • Work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs and pastoral teams
  • Support students in managing behaviour and improving attendance
  • Promote a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment

Ideal Candidate

You will:

  • Have experience working with children or young people with behavioural needs
  • Be calm, patient and resilient under pressure
  • Have strong communication and de-escalation skills
  • Be confident managing challenging behaviour
  • Be committed to making a positive impact on students' lives

Desirable:

  • Experience in a school or alternative provision setting
  • Knowledge of SEMH needs
  • Relevant qualifications in education, youth work or similar
