The successful English Teacher will be part of a close-knit team working with a small cohort of pupils, delivering high-quality English teaching while supporting emotional, social, and academic development. As an English Teacher, you will play a key role in helping pupils re-engage with learning, build confidence, and prepare for their next steps beyond secondary education.

This is a provision supporting up to twenty Key Stage 4 pupils in a safe, inclusive and highly supportive environment. The focus is on high expectations, personalised learning and ensuring every young person leaves as a confident, well-prepared young adult ready for post-16 education, training, or employment.
The provision has been developed in close partnership with the local authority and aims to deliver outstanding education and care. There is a strong emphasis on building resilience and supporting pupils' emotional, academic, vocational and physical development to secure meaningful and sustainable life outcomes.

- Qualifications in core subjects including Functional Skills, GCSEs, City & Guilds and ASDAN
- Therapeutic support and access to a named work coach
The Role
As an English Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons to KS4 pupils
- Support pupils with SEMH needs to achieve academic progress
- Contribute to a positive, respectful, and aspirational school culture
- Work closely with pastoral staff, therapists, and external professionals
- Help pupils develop essential literacy skills for life beyond school
Why Join?
This provision is driven by ambition, kindness, and a belief in every young person's potential. Staff work collaboratively to celebrate success, promote independence, and create opportunities that improve long-term life chances. The curriculum blends formal learning with enrichment and real-world experiences to help pupils become confident, connected members of their communities.
