English Teacher

A Grammar School in Kent are looking for an experienced or NQT English Teacher on a full time basis to cover Maternity for up to 12 months.

Responsibilities

• To prepare and deliver English lessons and to ensure you deliver appropriate to age groups and abilities.
• To assess each student's progress, set them targets and continually monitor their development following school policies and procedures.
• To take part in developing schemes of work, lesson plans, syllabuses and resources alongside team and Subject Leader.
• To keep up to date with knowledge on subject area and teaching methods.
• To set homework on a regular basis and to assess work products.
• Join in with organising and running appropriate extra-curricular activities.
• To have great communication skills with the ability to share appropriate information to the correct individuals.
• To register pupils in each class using the electronic registration system.
• To look after and maintain teaching areas and promoting this among pupils.
• Making sure the teaching environment is enriching and stimulating.
• To be involved within meetings such as with colleagues and parents.
• To participate in continual professional development.
