This school has a capacity for 1550 students aged 11-19. They are an all ability co-educational school with a grammar stream which has developed exponentially over the last few years. They foster an engaging learning ethos, using state-of-the-art technologies to develop new skills and create high aspirations. The school was judged as good and rapidly improving by Ofsted offering excellent resources and accommodation which is currently being enhanced with the building of an £18 million extension.
The interests of their students are always our priority in all decision making and, as a result, they are proud to deliver a curriculum that engages and enthuses their learners. At the heart of their ethos is their determination that all students receive high quality teaching, which is equally as aspirational for their students as it is for the wider student body. In order to enable every student to achieve his or her potential, they believe in generating a learning environment that is calm, safe and inclusive, in which our students enjoy their education.
The school intend to develop internationally-minded learners who recognise their common humanity and help create a better world. Staff and students have benefited significantly from the close collegiate relationship between the different associate local schools.
