Town/CityEast Sussex
LocationsEast Sussex, South East, UK
Contract TypePart Days

I am working alongside an independent co-educational day and boarding school, located on the Kent/ Sussex borders, owned by an educational trust. They specialise in supporting young people aged from 7 to 19 whose education has been adversely affected by specific learning difficulties, namely dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, or speech and language difficulties.

Their pupils benefit from 60 acres of playing fields and grounds, and we have secure access to another 100 acres of ancient deer park for cross-country runs, orienteering, nature rambles and building camps.

They are seeking to appoint a dynamic teacher of Music, to teach from Year 7 to GCSE.

  • This role is suitable for an NQT or experienced teacher, and is available for a start in September 2018.
  • The role is offered on a part-time basis (approximately 0.6 FTE) plus the opportunity to undertake peripatetic tuition alongside teaching.
  • A full-time appointment may be possible for candidates who can offer a second subject, or combined with some boarding duties.
  • Salary is dependent on experience and the extent of peripatetic tuition undertaken and shall be based per rota.

Term Time Teachers are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, therefore all applicants will be subject to a full face-to-face registration and an Enhanced DBS (Formerly known as CRB).
