About us:

We are an expert education recruitment specialist with over 17 years' experience. Recognised for our professionalism by our schools, teachers, TAs, support staff and local authorities. Recently accredited 100% Quality Mark by the REC.

About School:

This grammar school is the first choice school for parents and students.

  • It is the standard of excellence in an education where academic and personal success is equally valued;
  • It was founded on values which are centred on our students and focused on their learning;
  • It delivers measurable outcomes for all students from the first day they start their educational journey at Weald of Kent;
  • It is  recognised for quality in everything we do; in the quality of the learning experience we expect; in our routine, rigorous and robust approach to self-evaluation and in our drive to innovate, collaborate and openly communicate;
  • It is based on a consistent approach that values integrity, commitment to each other and celebrates individuality and diversity;
  • It is realised through bringing together and developing outstanding colleagues from a range of academic and technical backgrounds and interests;
  • It encourages mutual respect and on-going learning.

About Role:

 The Design and Technology team currently consists of a Head of Department; two full time specialist teachers of Design and Technology, two part time Food and Nutrition teachers and two full time technicians. There is a supportive and collaborative ethos within the department and we are always open to new ideas.

Their results at both GCSE and A Level are excellent and they frequently outperform other schools in our specialist areas. Food and Nutrition has achieved exceptional results over number of years and is a popular subject at Key Stage 4. At Key Stage 3 students develop a broad framework of skills and knowledge across a wide range of Design and Technology disciplines. This provides a strong foundation which enables students to make an informed choice to specialise in one discipline at GCSE. At present, in Key Stage 4, they follow the AQA Syllabus and offer full GCSE courses in Food and Nutrition; Design and Technology. In addition they have a thriving A-Level group.

Salary is per rota basis for the part time position.
